Client contacted SQ consultants to evaluate underpinning remedy proposed for a house by a contractor.
Our investigation revealed that the split level house did not need underpinning which was going to cost over 40,000 dollars. Client was told to repair the cracks in the drywall of the house and to improve grading. A beam inside the house had twisted slightly because of movement of the supporting post. Contractor was told to replace the post and beam.
